It also did well in our cooling test, but we're not a fan of the gimmicky handles or the flimsy crisper bins.
One thing that makes the RF23M8090SG apart is its Bespoke line which lets you personalize your fridge by removing colored panels which can be swapped whenever you get tired of the ones you have currently. There are 11 different colors including soft pastels, bolder hues and four metallic finishes. These panels can be customized to include text or photos. This makes the fridge more personal and can be matched to your Rick Owens dress, Andy Warhol banana neon, or tie-dye Crocs.
The LED lighting can be altered to a different color which is a nice feature. And the refrigerator's interior is finished with a sophisticated finish that helps reduce smudges and makes cleaning a breeze. The only downsides of the RF23M8090SG are its somewhat congested beverage center and a bit of a learning curve in opening the door-in-door feature that houses a water jug and dispenser. You must feel for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door midway across, and when you have it you will be able to open another door inside the refrigerator that houses the docking station for pitchers as well as the water dispenser, and two shelves for drinks.
The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is big enough to accommodate a large amount of frozen food items, and it features an amazing slide-out drawer system that allows you to get the food you're searching for without opening the entire compartment. The freezer also features an open-air compartment that can be used to store small items as well as a large capacity storage drawer to store larger frozen items. This drawer can be locked with an access code to keep unwanted guests out, and it includes a handy LED light to let you see the contents at an instant.
